FAQs

Where are you based?

I am a Hampshire based wedding photographer. I mainly work in the South of England but I travel all over the UK and worldwide for weddings. All travel and accommodation expenses within mainland England and Wales are included.

Can we have an engagement shoot / Pre-Wedding session ?

Yes! As a creative wedding photographer in Hampshire, Berkshire and Surrey I think these are a great idea! It's a perfect opportunity for us to get to know each other before the big day and for you to get comfortable in front of the camera.

How do you book? Is there a booking fee?

Booking is simple and easy. There is a 25% booking fee to secure your day. This fee covers the securing of your wedding date, turning away any other bookings for this date as well as admin, contract creation and any phone calls leading up to the booking. It’s not unusual for me to receive several enquiries for the same date - particularly in peak times so, the couple who comes back first with the paperwork and deposit paid will be booked in the diary.

No date will be held without a booking fee and paperwork in place.

Essentially,

Deposit + Signed Contract/Paperwork = Secured booking

Do you travel abroad?

Yes! I work with couples to find the best rates for travel and flights. Normally, I charge 1 or 2 night stays only (depending how far away your location is. Longer stays might be required the longer the flight).

Taking your wedding photographer abroad doesn’t have to be expensive but means you can build that relationship before you travel and have security in knowing your photographer is in the UK after the wedding day close by to work on your photos.

Do you have insurance?

Yes. I have public liability insurance and kit cover. I’ll gladly provide a copy of this to your venue if it’s requested.

Do we have a meeting before hand?

Of course we do! We will have frequent meetings before your wedding day. Normally a month before the wedding we’ll have a call via phone, Zoom or WhatsApp video to go through the schedule of the day, the final shot list for groups and any other requirements and questions. I also meet my couples in person when I can!

Do we have any paperwork to fill in?

Yes, although only a small amount. It is important that the agreement is signed, as this can be a long relationship with some couples booking more than 2 years in advance. This contract informs all parties what is expected of each other as well as the work that goes into editing, delivery etc. You will also have a booking form with all the important details I would need to know for the day - this would be my go-to document. These are provided via e-sign for a simple process. No printing or scanning required! Please note, until this comes back with the deposit I cannot hold the date.

Do we get the RAW images?

No. I do not provide un-edited images. RAW format is designed to be processed. You are not only hiring me for me taking your photos but also for my style of editing and time that goes into processing them.

How long should we leave for group and couple photos during drinks reception?

During your pre-wedding consultation we will work together to create a timeline that works best for your wedding. But I would say at least a 90 minute minimum for a drinks reception. This allows you time to mingle, have a chitchat, enjoy the canapés as well as get the time for group shots and private couple moments. In essence, this will all allow things not to be rushed so you and your guests can enjoy the day as much as possible!

How many images do we get?

This depends on the package you have. I do not restrict the number of images I take and this all depends on how 'active' your day has been for me to capture. That said, couples normally receive a minimum of 500 images!

How does payment work?

To secure your date, I just need a signed contract and a 25% booking fee. The remaining balance is due two calendar months before your wedding date. If you’re placing a booking and the wedding is within two months already, the full balance will be due at the time of booking.

Are we able to pay the amount in instalments?

Yes, this is completely fine! We can discuss payment terms and decide the best payment plan that works for you. If a payment plan is not discussed, then as ever, the remaining balance is due two calendar months before your wedding date.

Can I share my ideas and the props I want at my wedding?

Of course. I love to plan ideas with couples - the more the merrier! Feel free to send me Pinterest ideas or boards and I can always source certain props etc if needed!

Are we able to print our own images?

Yes, my photos are delivered print ready at high resolution without watermarks, so you do not need to order prints through me if you’d prefer to use a different printing supplier - or even print them at home!

I wish to tweak my package, is this possible?

Of course. All my packages are merely guidelines so we can add or remove items as required meaning I can provide you with a bespoke quote designed just for you! Let’s chat and you can let me know what you might be looking for.
