Romantic Highley Manor Wedding | Rainy Day Photography in West Sussex
Immy and Alex tied the knot on a rainy winter’s day at the stunning Highley Manor in West Sussex. They wanted a natural, relaxed day filled with cheeky laughter and countless unforgettable moments. And that’s exactly what they got—rain and all!
As a lover of historic venues, I always adore returning to Highley Manor. This West Sussex wedding venue has a timeless yet modern feel, with stylish details throughout. Plus, it’s a dream for wedding photography, with endless stunning backdrops inside and out.
A Romantic, Rainy Wedding at Highley Manor
The morning had a small hiccup, with some back-and-forth about whether the ceremony should be held inside or outside. But as I told Immy then (and I’ll say it again now):
👉 This is your wedding. No one else's opinions matter when it comes to where you say your vows.
So, they went for it! The ceremony happened outside, with the soft drizzle creating an intimate and cinematic moment. As a West Sussex wedding photographer, I know that sometimes, unexpected weather makes for the most breath-taking photos.
Romantic Autumnal Styling
Immy and Alex’s styling was elegant and romantic, with a touch of autumn woven into the palette. I’ll never get over the burnt orange roses mixed with deep red ones—they were absolutely perfect, especially alongside the red bridesmaid dresses.
Flash Wedding Portraits – Hollywood Style!
We wrapped up their coverage with some chic flash wedding portraits, and I’m obsessed. Flash photography adds such an editorial touch, transforming the vibe completely from the soft, natural light of the day
